Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, and devices will soon be the scene of an event that is both sporty, tourism and social through UTOP 2017. You are invited to participate ! Marier physical activity with the discovery of Malagasy landscapes, is joining the business with pleasure. This is the motto of the Ultra Trail des O Plateaux.
The theme : Trail thousand smiles
In its ninth edition, Trail will be smiling for two successive days : the 5 and 6 May 2017. Participants will thus have the joy of enjoying the beauty of the different corners of running Madagascar. The organizer of this event nationwide and even international five races planned for this year.
In UTOP program 2017
The first path connects Mandraka in high school on Ambatobe 121 km. This is the Ultra Long the vertical drop +5 000 m. It crosses mountains and valleys, rice fields and some typical villages of the highlands. The route includes paths.
The second route is the Semi Long 65 kg +2 560 m drop. Partant de Mantasoa, it is assimilated in the second Madagascar Championship Trail. This test therefore see the participation of insiders.
The T-Rail 30 km, his, from Carion. Its elevation is lower because there is only +900 m.
Those starting the sport will have the chance to register for the Fun Run. The route is just 10 km. It is not necessary to have endurance. The desire and motivation enough to launch it.
Finally, for the family, the UTOP offers Zaza Fun Run on 4,5 km autour d'Ambatobe, in the city of Antananarivo.Ce race type is friendlier and less hard. It is even possible to walk. The decor of the course is dominated by nature.
The champions in contention
Participants will include the holders of UT4M Jeremy Lavy and Alexandra. The UT4M is the Ultratour 4 massive. It is an annual Ultra Trail which takes place in August on four massive Grenoble namely Vercors, Chartreuse, Belledonne and Taillefer. Among the Malagasy athletes, citons Joachim Andrianirina et Estrine Murphy.
What awaits the winners ... UTOP 2017
The winners of the Ultra Trail will take the flight to Grenoble to attend the next UT4M. The Dolphins, them, have the chance to discover the island of Reunion in July and run the Colorado Trail to be held there.
Those who win the Semi, for their part, will drop out their ticket to Mauritius. On site, they compete for the Southern Peak Trail Champion title in July.
Everyone will share ! Those who win the T-Rail trails will be entitled to Antsiranana or Ibity - Antsirabe.
The social component of the Trail of a thousand smiles UTOP 2017
This annual event is an opportunity for the association Ultra Trail of O Trays distribute sacks of rice to villagers. Young people benefit from sports equipment. The rehabilitation of buildings is also on the menu. A big thank you to 300 volunteers who contribute to the success of the Trail of a thousand smiles !
