The Koba Ravina of Madagascar is a rice cake wrapped with a banana leaf, Quick and easy to do.

ingredients

  • 250 g rice flour
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 beautiful vanilla pod
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • Banana leaves
  • 3 large handfuls of peanuts
  • 2 tablespoon peanut oil

Shell the peanuts and plunder, then add and mix peanut oil. Peel and mash the bananas with a fork (especially no mixer, we do not want banana juice !). Split the vanilla pod and scrape with a knife to get the pulp.

Cut the sheets into rectangles of about 20 x 15 cm. To put 1 tablespoon of the mixture of the rectangle center, folding the edges of the right sheet, then to the left, fold up, then down.

Remove the small packages in a steam cooker (or in the steam basket of the pressure cooker) and cook 12 minutes. It is the cooking time for Koba Ravina about 2 cm thick and 6 cm of length. If they are bigger, increase the cooking time.

Remove the Koba Ravina banana leaves and served hot or warm sprinkling a little coconut powder.
